Hi PingSkills,

I am an advanced TT player, what blade should I buy? There are so many good quality blades but some of them are expensive. I saw a Tibhar Samsonov Stratus Carbon that is cheap but I also saw a DHS Power PG-7 is also quite cheap but I don't know what to choose. So can you suggested me what blade should I choose and can you use damp sponge to clean tacky rubbers.

Hi John,

Firstly you can use a damp sponge to clean tacky rubber.

As far as the right blade that is a lot harder.  The best thing is to find a blade that someone else is using and try it out to see if it feels right.

The blade we have is the PingSkills Touch which we think suits a wide range of players and is something that we can confidently recommend.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Hi John,

Matches can be best of 1, 3, 5 or 7 games.

You can use a damp cloth to wipe tacky rubbers.
