I have this friend that can do an extreme serve, almost as fast as a drive and very low just about above the net... she backs up a little and serves hitting near the edge of the table... chances of countering it are slim, most of the time the ball goes high if countered, although there are times I did... the way she hit the ball, its like a smash.. so how do you do this serve and how do you counter or block it... thanks in advance =D

Hi Jigo,

Firstly to do a low fast serve you need to hit the ball very close to you on your side.  You also need to hit the ball very flat on the back of the ball with topspin to get the ball to dip quickly.  When trying to do it allow yourself to hit the ball long off the end of the table sometimes.

To receive it, just take a small step back from the table and block the ball back.  You don’t need to hit the ball too fast as it already has speed on it.
