Hi,

I have a question regarding feet position, what would you suggest is most effective place to be, in serving and receiving.Do you for example recommend that standing back from the table gives you the time to see the ball or what do you suggest. When serving again where are areas most likely to give you the chance for that ace?

Kind regards,

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Take a look at the lesson on the Ready Position.  This will give you some of the answers to your question.

Everyone is a little bit different as to where they need to stand.  The lesson will give you some good basic pointers though.

When serving you need to position yourself in a position that will enable you to get quickly in to the ready position for the next ball.  Don't think too much about the ace but rather about the rally.  Serving an ace is very difficult in Table Tennis.
