What is table tennis fishing exactly? To me it’s like a weaker topspin against topspin.

Hi Jason,

That is a reasonable description.  It is a defensive stroke when the other player is attacking and you are forced away from the table.

You play a topspin that is somewhere between a lob and a topspin stroke.
