hi. i am from nepal .though i have been playing tt from long time but witout continuity and without technically.i want to ask when and how to use a flicker?

Hi Bijaya,

The flick can be used especially on a return of serve. If they serve with topspin or no spin then the flick is a good choice of stroke. It is an attacking stroke that can be played off a ball that is close to the net.

To learn how to do the stroke take a look at the lesson on the Forehand Flick and the Backhand Flick. I am sure these will help you to learn the strokes well.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
