I am interested in float serve. Is it because of the massive backspin? Please teach me how to master that serve.

Thanks

Hi Khang,

The float serve is a no spin serve so it doesn't have much backspin at all.

To do the float serve you need to contact the ball quite flat so that you are not spinning it mich.

when you said flat, do you mean a vertical bat contact or horizontal?

Vertical, so that you can hit the back of the ball without spinning it.

I read somewhere that the benefit of doing the no spin serve is because it can disguise as a backspin serve and produce inaccurate returns from the opponent By having a vertical bat angle, wouldn't it be losing its effect as disguising as a backspin serve? Thank you.

With a backspin serve you can still have a flat bat but come down on the contact.
