Hello PingSkills my name is joaquin . I'm Uruguayan. 6 months ago I started to play table tennis. I love playing with friends and family. But a month ago I took it seriously. I have several questions. For example how do I have to position to hit topspin? What kind of gum I have to buy if I have enough effect and has good control? How I can return services with great effect? From already thank you very much hope to answer. Bye

Hi Joaquin,

Take a look at our lesson on the Forehand Topspin Against Block.  This will show you the foot position you will need to make this shot effectively.

To return serves effectively think about the spin that they have put on the ball.  Watch the direction of their bat during the serve and also watch the flight of the ball after they hit it.  This will give you some idea of what sppin is on the ball.
