Hi, Pingskills

There is a guy who has excellent topspin. He is able to bend down so much, that the table and his head are in the same plane. From that position he hits, sometimes not very fast, but very loaded topspin. Now, my problem is the following. That boll has topspin, but it drops very quickly before I even touch it. And when I try to chop it, it goes over the table. How to control that topspin, how to chop that amount of spin in order to keep it low and make him harder to hit again.

Hi Sasha,

You need to chop down vertically on the ball to keep it down on the table because it has so much topspin.  Also soften the grip so that you absorb some of the spin that will take the ball high.
