Forehand for more spin and speed

well i am playing for a long time and used to be a champion but after a few years when i started again my drive lacks spin and speed also my shoulders are tight, as people say.! please help.

Hi Kartikeya,

Sometimes it just takes time to get back to the way we used to play.

If you are trying to hit the ball faster your biggest enemy is trying too hard.  As soon as you try hard you tend to tighten up.  Just think about playing the same stroke but getting the bat to come through faster.

If you can stay relaxed through the stroke you will find the ball will start to travel faster.
