Hey There,

First Of All, Your Videos Are Amazing!

I Particularly Enjoyed The Backhand Sidespin Flick Video However I Was Dissapointed Not To See Alois Try It Out :)

i have recently taken up table tennis and have quite a strong backhand and i am very good at imparting a lot of backspin and sidespin.

However i cannot seem to use my forehand at all. I resort to being a 1 sided player as i cannot seem to perform even the most basic forehand stroke.  What can i do to improve my game and how should i do it?

Thanks So Much Alois + Jeff :)

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for your kind words about the videos.  It is always nice to hear that they are useful.

I know when to hand over to an expert.  You don't want to copy my Backhand Sidespin flick.

Sometimes I find that players who favour one side have either a stance that favours that side or a grip that favours that side.  So when they try to play their less dominant side it becomes awkward.

Try changing your feet position slightly.  Turn a little so that your left foot comes closer to the table.  Then try to do the basic stroke well.  Do it slowly in practice at first and then see if you can start to bring it into a game as well.
