Strokes
hi Alois i do not own a table at my home but i practice against the wall with my forehand with one finger on the backside of racket...in college there is only one table but there are alot of players so i cant get enough time to practice on the table ...in a match when i play with my forehand i feel lack of control and power in my forehand shots so i dont know why but i unintentionally put index finger on the back side of bat too...im much worried even some times i feel my self unable to block a shot with my forehand..kindly suggest me any thing which i can do of or on the table to improve my game.
sorry for poor english
Hi Danish,
I would use the wall at home more and really get the feel of the forehand stroke. Spend as much time as you can hitting and focusing on the stroke. It is a matter of practice time. If you can find another venue where you can practice that is the best solution since at college you don't have enough time.
During your practice focus on the index finger more.
The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
