Hi coach,

I want some forehand tips from your side. I am very good at forehand when ball is low and close to the net, i can play aggressive in this area but when ball lands in deep or some what far middle of the table my natural tendency is to block it, i am very good at block but i am unable to play aggressive shot. plz tell me what should i do.

Thankx in advance.

Hi Trilochan,

Sounds likeit s positional thing. You need to be able to adjust your position forwards and backwards as well as sideways.  Try practicing a little in and out footwork.  It is all about getting the ball in the right position to hit.  If the ball is too close to you you may find it awkward and difficult to make the stroke.

Snake Shot

A snake shot is a type of stroke which is specifically used against a drop shot. It is usually loaded with a heavy spin so that the opponent finds it difficult to counter. The type of spin can be backspin, sidespin or topspin depending on your choice. You need to make a movement after hitting the ball to confuse your opponent.
