hi alois i will like to enquire about the forehand smash.how do i transit from a loop to a fh smash?i also had difficulty like one pingskill member.and how is starting position of a fh smash and loop different?my mistakes is i tend to miss sumtimes and not generate enough power to finish the pt and oftenly the opponent counterloops my smash due to the low power.i also have difficulty getting into position for the fh smash.any advice to help remedy my problems?help is realli much appreciated.

i also have another problem.for my forehand loop i also cant generate enuff power n spin and i am sure my equipment have nth wrong.any help?especially when i try to loop underspin,the ball turns out to be very weak with little spin and speed or i will miss the ball completely.again help is much appreciated.please reply asap thanks a lot for helping.

Hi Yong,

The change from a topspin to a smash can be difficult.  It involves a different starting position.  What you need to do is make sure you get the bat up high for the start of the smash. 

Use the time that the ball is in the air to get into position.  Move side onto the table and get your bat high, around shoulder height.  Then come through with a flat contact. Study the lesson on the Forehand Smash.

For a faster loop, you need to maintain the same stroke as with a slower one but increase the speed of your stroke.  The most common error I see is that players tighten up and then their stroke changes.  It is vital to keep the same stroke.
