Hey dear Pingskills Team!

I hope you can help me with this delicious problem xD

I spend lots of time to master the Topspin... (Backhand works better now). Forehand: my starting and finishing position of the topspin is already fine i think, because they are really spinny!! But i have a big problem to hit the ball - if i hit the ball there is no speed on the ball - because i can´t use my hip for this shot... you see delicious problem :/

Every time i try this shot i look like an old grandpa because my hips are not working... i can control this shot with my knees a little bit but thats the wrong way i think... so have you got some tricks (maybe gymnastics?)

Sry for my english, im from Austria ;)

Hi Manuel,

Just keep on trying to use your waist with the stroke.  Do it really slowly to start with.  Don't try to hit the ball fast just make sure you are getting a coordinated movement with the whole body.  You can also use your knees to move through the shot.  If you can keep doing this regularly, then you will start to be able to do it faster.

I will be going through Vienna airport tomorrow!
