when practising my forehand topspin against a partner should I just get them to block or should I get them to topspin back?

Hi Dave,

You can do both.  I would start by getting them to block for you so that you get the feel of the stroke.  Then you can get them to start using topspin back to you.  This makes it more difficult but you can adapt to that.
