A rubber like that will usually last around 80 to 100 hours of play if you protect it and clean it regularly.

Clean it every 10 minutes or so. Just use a damp sponge.

How often should you change short pips rubber? (specifically Friendship 808-40)/

You don’t need to do it as often as inverted rubber. Perhaps every 150 hours of play. Others that use it may be able to give you a better indication.
