Friend is bamboozling me with this crazy serve

He is serving kind of like a tomahawk but when i hit the ball it goes flying to the side... and i just can control it. Is there any chance that you know what the serve is and how to return it? Thank you :D

Hi Gil,

I am not sure but is he just doing a Tomahawk serve with a lot of sidespin perhaps?

If the ball is going to the side, then use the angle of your racket to control the ball back onto the table.  If the ball is going to the left then angle your racket to face the right and this should counter the spin.  You may have to experiment a bit to get the angle just right.
