Have you ever met a player that has beaten a lot of basement players and therefore thinks he's good.  Well one of those, extremely arogant, players has surfaced at my club.  He challenged a player in our club and at the begining of the match said, ok for the record if I lose I did not bring my paddle and I have to play with this paddle.  My paddle is realy good.........  anyways he loses 3-0 complete anihalation but he never loses confidence stills acts like he was Timo Boll.  Then he sees my paddle (primorac 200 with 802 and globe999) and says thats a nice paddle can I see it?  I was like ok but dont touch the rubber with your fingers and he looks at me square in the eye and says do I look like an amateur to you?!  I didnt answer (answer was an overwhelming yes)  anyways 2 weeks later I was somewhat forced morally to play with him and, as I want to break it in his head he's not top, I cream him, he could even return one of my serves.  I was playing around with him lol, I was doing the pendulum topspin and he put it out so he told himself ok next shot I'll hit lower and I did a backspin shot... in the net and I just oscillated like that and added a few fast serves for fun in there, lol.  Anyways he still thought he was top, turns out he didnt think he warmed up.  So I let him attack for a while as I blocked and he says wow that was a good rally, I reply well I was just blocking.  I eventually got lazy a big problem, you know when you play an inferior player you seem to play lazier and swoop down to their level... and then he thought he was better than me, like I didnt just cream him.  How do you educate these people!!!

I even heard him say when playing with another person ''I dont need spin'' lol.

Hi Fred,

Similar to your previous question 'Annoying' it is hard to change people. Take it as a good lesson in patience... and thank him for teaching you the meaning of Arrogance.
