hello Alois and Jeff,

I was wondering if theres a different process for gluing ox ( no sponge ) to a blade than gluing a normal sponged rubber?

Hi JAred,

Gluing OX long pips can be really tricky.

I think the best way I have seen is to glue both the blade and then the back of the rubber.  You will find the rubber will curl up when you put glue on the back.  Be careful to keep the rubber as flat as you can.

Then put a sheet of paper on the blade just leaving the bottom of the blade clear to glue the rubber down.  Then stick the bottom edge of the rubber on.  Slowly slide the sheet of paper up the blade and progressively stick the rubber down.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
