Hello!!

I had bought some artengo and cornilleau balls (sport level) and they turned out great, they have a fast bounce and it feels nice to hit a good topspin with them..  however, I recently bought a box of Stiga 1 star recreational level balls..  I've seen your video and they are in perfect condition, the only difference is that these stiga balls are way lighter and thinner. What is the difference, when putting spin, between hard thick and soft light balls?

Thanks a lot :)

Hi Chema,

The softer balls will recat more on the table when you spin them.  They will turn more with sidespin, and stop faster with backspin. It is more difficult to hit them fast and they will tend to have a lower and inconsistent bounce.
