Hi coach,

I am just a beginner, and i am planning to buy a racket, so what are the characteristics of a good racket?

Hi Sharlynne,

For beginners, it's important to have a bat that has good control so you can develop your strokes correctly and build up some consistency. You also need a good quality rubber that is grippy so you can generate spin. Table Tennis is a game of spin and you need to learn about it with a grippy rubber. There are a lot of good options.
