Strokes
Hi pingskills, I know I have asked a similar question a while ago about struggling with my grip, but I am still struggling months later and getting more frustrated, the grip for my backhand is perfect however I struggle playing a forehand without pushing my index finger up the bat, this way I can play very good forehands with plenty of spin and power however the only problem with it is recovering for the next shot and I sometimes get flustered between which grip to prepare for next, I have tried using the coin trick which Alois recommended to me a while ago but when I play a forehand with the normal grip I feel I have no control and my arm feels like it is flailing uncontrollably and even when I play a good shot with it and win a point it just feels lucky and unsatisfying, do you have any more advice at all for this, I have had to play matches with my wrong grip for now otherwise I would be hopeless!
Thanks a lot guys, love Matt. :)
Hi Matt,
Persevere with it slowly. It is too difficult to play with extremely different grips for both sides.
