Serving
Hey Alois and Jeff,
I tend to have really good spin on loops and serves, but I have seen many people that can pull off some monstrous serves with untold spin such as

I know my rubber is capable of these serves but its so hard to get the contact right! What can I do about this?
Hi Curtis,
To get this serve you need to brush heavily under the ball. You need less forward momentum to make the ball stop and come back to you. If it is moving too fast forward then it will take longer to stop and come back towards you.
To get the contact right, you need a lot of practice doing it. Certainly Ma Lin has practiced that serve more than 10,000 times. He also wasn't able to get the contact right when he started trying to do it.
The float or no spin serve is an effective tool to have in your bag of serves. It adds good variation to your serves and can often set you up with an easy 3rd ball opportunity.
