General
Hi!
Before I ask the question I'd like to thank you all for helping me make our school team, thanks to you my technique has improved amazingly quickly. =-)
I was wondering what the minimum height for a serving throw is. I understand that in general the higher the throw the faster the serve and the more spin you can apply, but for people like me who almost always miss the ball if it's thrown more than 2 feet up this would be an invaluable piece of information.
Thanks again
Tim
Hi Tim,
Glad we can help. It is always nice to hear that we are able to help players to improve their game. Congratulations on making the school team.
The rule about throwing the ball up on service is that it has to go at least 16cm away from your hand. That is about the height of the net above your hand.
