Hi Alois and Jeff

For an effective forehand and backhand topspin stroke, where the ball should hit the bat rubber  to ensure max power and spin?

Hi Karim,

For the forehand try to hit it int he middle of your racket or slightly towards the leading edge.

For the backhand topspin also near the middle or closer to the end of the bat away from the handle as this is moving the fastest.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
