Suppose if i drop my racket during a game , I do not have time to take the bat and the ball comes to me if I play with my hand with a force such that it lands on the opponent's side, do i get my point or will my opponent gets the point??
Hi Girish,
You have to have your bat in your hand for it to be a legal hit.
If your bat is in your hand and you hit it with anything up to your wrist it is a legal hit as long you only hit it once. This is very difficult to do as usually the bal hits both your hand and the bat which means it is a double hit and you lose the point.
But to answer your question simply, in the situation you described you would lose the point.
In this video we will discuss some different ideas that you could use to help you serve if you have low or limited function in your non-playing hand. These include throwing the ball up with your dominant hand or throwing the ball up straight from your racket.
