Hi Alois and Jeff,
I learned from your stuff how to cope with short pips, and that you can overcome it with a lot of spin and variations. I think Wang Manyu can can generate a lot of spin and good at varying spin too. Why not easy to beat Mima Ito for her or for other Chinese player, why is short pips sill advantage?
I have myself problems against good shortpips player and now I am a bit confused.
Best Regards, Lajos
Hi Lajos,
Mima Ito is a very good player. She has been able to overcome the simple tactics because of her level. The tactics we show are a general guide for players. There is always an answer if you are good enough.
Olympian Simon Gerada takes on the up and coming Christopher Kek. Can Kek find a way to lift his game to the next level? Can he stop Simon's blistering attacks? Can he generate enough power himself to trouble Simon's defensive game? Watch this great match to find out.

Thanks for the answer, I start understanding it :)
I like Mima Ito very much. I saw her in a Hungarian Open in Budapest some years ago, and her play was so impressive. But I am afraid that as soon as top players use to her style she will only have chance if being definitely better because players on same level with pips have disadvantage against trained and prepared players.
Recently I see that her forehand topspin is much stronger and start to vary her famous flat-hits with different topspins which surprise her opponents.
