Strokes
Hi Alois, I was just wondering how Ma Long gets such a fast, spinny and accurate ball when doing his third ball attack strategy? I wanna know how he attacks with such good quality. Thanks! Maxwell
Hi Maxwell,
The first answer is practice.
He has very good technique of his forehand topspin.
Secondly he has very good srves that set him up for the third ball.
He also has very good footwork to enable him to get ni to a good position very fast to make the stroke.
If you want to develop your 3rd ball attack, work on these three areas.

Hi Alois ,
what are the type of serves that ease the third ball attack ?
There is nothing in particular. It is more thinking about what serves your opponent doesn’t like or can’t read well. If you can add some deception to your service, it will make it harder for your opponent to return strongly and so will open up the opportunity for you to attack.
