How does this bat/rubber combination look

It would be a Butterfly Timo Boll all+ with Butterfly Textra rubber. I'm not sure which thickness of the rubber I should get, so please recommend one. My main concern is keeping a focus on control and spin. I don't want to have a rubber that is too fast to start, since I am still developing as a player. I would say I am past the beginner stages and moving quickly into an intermediate level, especially since I found a good coach. Any suggestions?

Hi Cam,

I don't know that rubber but the blade speed sounds OK.

I would recommend something like a Mark V rubber and either 1.5mm or 2mm.  This will give you good control and still enough spin to be able to develop your strokes.

Sorry it is is a butterfly flextra. Not sure if you still are not familiar. I will look aRuth's Mark V as well. Is 1.7 a good thickness to start for a rubber?

Yes I know Flextra rubber.  That is a good starting rubber but I would go for the next step up.  The Mark V would be a good next step and the 1.7mm is good.
