Whenever the opponent does a fast forehand topspin,I tend to panic and my hand tightens up often after the opponent's attack.Even if I got it back on the table, it's still a weak shot that my opponent can do another topspin attack. How can I fix this problem?

Hi Jasper,

This is something that you can get used to by seeing and facing faster balls.

The natural tendency when yo see something that is faster coming towards you is to tighten up. However if you see that speed regularly then you will learn to relax in that situation.  You can do this by getting someone to fee multi ball fast to you or get a better level player to hit to you at a faster speed.

#46 - Tournament Preparation 2

In the first week of your preparation we focused on the consistency of your third ball attack. This week, since the third ball is so important, we are going to continue working on this. However this week we are going to focus on placement. It is really important tactically to think about where you are going to play the ball. We build upon the drills from last week so you can improve the effectiveness of your third ball through placement.
