Hi,

I know that when I hit the top spin ,it has some effect of side spin too. i have recently purchased super dvd pack of 6 dvd's.

I am trying the shot as taught my the dvd's but I know, i am making some mistake but unable to find that.

This side spin eats up speed from the shot.

Please help.

Thanks,

Vipin

Hi Vipin,

Having some sidespin on your shot can be beneficial in some circumstances. It helps you get more curve on the ball to take your opponent out wide. However due to having less topspin it does make the shot a little less reliable.

If you want to hit pure topspin the must change the angle at which your bat hits the ball. To generate sidespin you must be brushing on the side of the ball. To hit pure topspin try making sure the bat brushes directly up the back or on the top of the ball. Remember that a little bit of sidespin is not all that bad and if you are trying to make the ball curve out wide then a lot of sidespin can be very useful.
