Hi Alois,
I used to play with a local manufacturer TT bat, but have recently started playing with Yasaka MarkV rubber and Butterfly Joyner-H AN blade. I have one very big problem with my playing style. While picking a short serve with a forehand chop/push I sometimes hit the TT bat to the table. Unfortunately, I also did to my new Butterfly bat :(. Can you please suggest some technique improvements or tips which would be helpful?
Many thanks for your kind help.
Warm Regards,
Mudit
Hi Mudit,
You can make the push stroke a little shallower. So go more forward rather than down.
The other thing you can do is out some edging tape around your bat. This will protect both the bat and the table. It is very effective.
