Strokes

I am a offensive player, so when they are attacking me I don't know how to defend. Should I use blocks, chops, lobs or a mix of all the defensive strokes?

Hi Matias,

If you are close to the table you are best to block the ball.  You can stay close the the table if you have enough time.  This is the best option for you.

If you are forced back from the table you then have the option of lobbing, chopping or counter looping.

In general, the best of these is to attack from back there.  The next would be to chop and the last to lob.

The lob is used when you are trying to buy some time for yourself.

Your decision as to which of these strokes you play is often determined by the amount of tie you have.
