Hi Pingskills!

Just wondering, is it possible to pull off a rubber and put a new one on but keep the old rubber for later use if you want to reglue it?  If you can, how do you keep it in good conditions to use later?

Hi Jason,

Yes you can remove a rubber depending on how it has been put on.  Some of the rubbers that were put on in the factory have very strong glue that will make it difficult to remove.  Just be careful when you are removing it.  Start around the edges and work your way around slowly lifting a bit of rubber at a time.  You may also be able to use a solvent under the rubber to help you to get it off.

After you remove it you can cover it in plastic or cling wrap and keep it in a cupboard.  Just make sure you don't have it in the heat or dust.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
