Hello Alois/Jeff,

I've been improving a lot lately with table tennis and im very fanatic. It's almost holiday and were going to spain for holiday, Its about 30 degrees there (Celcius) and I wanted to bring my bat there to play with other kids there and with my dad also (he think he can beat me :D).

But I read that the heat will damage your bat and thats something I certainly do not want. Should i bring my bat there?

Hi Merijn,

Yes, take your bat. Just keep it out of direct sunlight which is what will effect the bat.

You can keep it in a case while you are not using it.  Also, keep the dirt away from the bat.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Keep your bat in a cupboard and well away from the heat.

Alois, is it alright if the bat is in the case but the whole thing is in the sun?

I generally put my case on a chair after I finish using it, and that is in the sunlight in the mornings.

Hi Jone,

It would be best to keep it away from there as well.  It probably won't effect it but it is better to be safe.  Rubber is too expensive.
