When playing a slow spinny topspin I tend to chip the edge of my bat's rubbers, how do I prevent this?

Hi,

You can try putting some thicker edge tape on your racket to hold the sides of your rubber firmly.  The wider tape actually goes over the side of the rubber as well as covering the sponge.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
