Receiving
My opponent often uses a long serve with weak backspin and it causes a lot if problems for me. If I block or play a topspin, the ball falls to the net. If I play a topspin off backspin, the ball goes too high. Currently my solution is to chop or chop block, however I'm looking for an offensive alternative. I was thinking maybe I just have to get better at reading spin and adjusting my racket angle. What do you think?
Hi Jack,
Playing a topspin is the best option and as you say you need to adjust the angle of your bat to allow for the amount of spin. Turn you bat more over the ball and make sure you are still putting topspin on your shot so that it has a margin of error. You can play this stoke quite fast if you are in good position.

To be able to receive serve effectively, you need to know how the ball will react when it hits your bat with different types of spin. We go into detail to explain this with the use of our disc wheel.
