Hi Dayton,

It's great to hear that you're exploring anti-spin rubber in your table tennis game. If you're looking for a super slow anti-spin rubber to enhance your control and strategic play, I have a few recommendations you might find helpful. 1

Dr. Neubauer Super Stop - This rubber is known for being exceptionally slow, which can greatly help in reducing the speed of the incoming ball. It’s ideal for defensive play and can really frustrate opponents who rely on fast, aggressive attacks.

Butterfly Super Anti - Another very popular choice among players who prefer a slow game. It absorbs a lot of the incoming speed and spin, making it easier for you to control the rallies and place the ball precisely. 3. **Joola Toni Hold Anti-Topspin** - This rubber has a high degree of frictionlessness and is quite slow. It's particularly good for defensive strategies and can be a nuisance for your opponents. Each of these rubbers has unique characteristics, so it might be a good idea to try them out if possible, or look for more player reviews to see which aligns best with your playing style. Happy playing, and I hope you find the perfect match for your anti-spin game!

Speaking of anti spin, what does it actually do? I'm aware that antispin is very similar to long pips in the spin reversal. And I also noticed that india's ayhika mukherjee used antispin really effectively and crumbled sun yingsha in the most recent women's team worlds. She also defeated wang yidi and Chen Meng in the Hangzhou asian games in doubles (first time watching her play). I thought long pips and antispin are a huge disadvantage at the top level because they can't generate their own spin and is fairly predictable. What's going on here?

Hi Jasper,

It 'reverses' the spin on the ball similar to long pimples.  In the women's game especially it and long pimples can be effective.

Does it do anything differently?

It gives you more control to play with than long pimples but more predictable effect for your opponent.
