Serving
Dear Alois and Jeff,
I know how to implement a basic serve as well as varying the speed and depth of my serves. After watching your video "Placement of the Serve", I now know exactly where to serve to. So, thanks a lot.
However, I can only serve the ball flat. I really want to improve my serves (imparting spin on the ball), but i don't know what's the next thing to learn. Can you please provide me with the steps i need to follow to gradually become a professional server?
I'm looking forward for your reply,
Mohammad El Hariri.
HI Mohammed,
It is great that you are starting to think about your serves. This is a really important aspect of improving your whole game.
To start to get spin on the ball you need to brush the ball on contact. Think of the ball like a big wheel. YOu need to get that wheel spinning around. To do that you need to brush the wheel with your bat and get it spinning. The same principle applies to spinning the ball. Then the faster you move your bat through the ball on on that wheel, the faster the ball will spin.
When you are ready to take the next step you can purchase our Serving Secrets Revealed DVD. This will show you in great detail how to do each serve.

Hey Couches,
Is it best to master the 4 basic strokes before moving to advanced serving?
