I was given an estimated rating by our club coach. The rating was 1200 +_ 50. I played in first sanctioned tournament and did well. What do I need to do to get to 1500.

Hi Jonathan,
With a 1200 rating you probably have the basics right so from here it will be a matter of getting your strokes faster ad improving your footwork to get better position for each ball.
Without seeing you play it is difficult to be too specific but some other areas that you could think about are your serving and return of serve. These are good ways to improve fast.

Backhand and Forehand Push
In lesson 5 we work on the forehand and backhand push strokes. These are defensive strokes that utilise backspin to make it hard for your opponent to attack.
