Improving reaction time

sometimes  return shots get pass im not sure if its my poor reaction time or its not being ready at all times do you have to give me on inproving my reaction times and being ready for the next shot

any help will be appreciated                                                                  thank you   Gregory

Hi Gregory,

Probably the best advice I can give you is watch the ball, watch the ball, and watch the ball. 

This is advice I heard 1000 times when I was learning, but didn't really appreciate the importance of it until much later.

By watching the ball, I mean, really tracking it.  you should be looking at the ball all the way from the start of the point till it lands on the floor.

You will be surprised how much your reactions will seem to improve when you do this.  If you are not watching the ball closely, you are picking it up too late.

Some people say yuou should watch your opponent, or their bat, but the only important thing is to watch the ball throughout the rally.
