Hi Jimmy,

Sorry to hear about your ankle.  Make sure you see a specialist about it if it is rally hurting.  I think the best thing for ankles is rest.  When it is totally better you can think about doing some strengthening exercises so that there is less chance of it happening again. It is difficult to stop injuries all together.  However if you warm up and cool down and do a strength and conditioning program,  it will minimise the risks.

Warming up and stretching gets your muscles ready to play. It also gets your mind ready because you are telling your body you are about to do something physical.

In our Training Secrets Revealed DVD we go through in detail warm ups that you can do.

#33 - Defending with the Block

One thing you can be sure of is that every top player will be able to keep the ball on the table with a solid block when under pressure. It seems that this is a pre-requisite to becoming a good player. That's why in this training session we focus on improving your block. If you can absorb your opponent's attack you will be in a good position to win a match against them.
