Equipment
Hi Alois/Jeff,
I'm Vishy from Chennai, India.
I'm an intermediate table tennis player and currently using GKI EuroStar for more than a year.

I'm planning to buy the following racquet.

How good is Liga rubber?
Kindly advise on this.
If you've any recommendations, I request to share your thoughts.

Hi Vishy,
I think the step up from the GKI bat to the Sonic bat isn't a big enough step up. They are both basically remade bats.
If you are feeling comfortable with the GKI then you can probably think about moving up a further step to a custom bat with a rubber like Mark V or Sriver.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Alois,
Thanks for suggesting a custom made bat.
I have already played with my friend's custom bat with Mark V on both hands at times and I felt the speed missing.
Finally I went ahead and purchased a Yasaka Carbon Pen hold blade. Added Yasaka Rakza 7 to FH and DHS Hurricane 3 Neo to BH.
I'm happy with that and feels good to play.
90% of the shots are on the table.
Thanks again for your suggestions.
