Is it bad to all-out attack

Strategy

Hello. When I play, I like to attack with my forehand topspin. Basically I wait for a good ball and when I'm in position I do a very, very hard/powerful forehand topspin (as hard as I can). I'm wondering if this is a bad thing to attack like this often, since if my opponent does return the ball I might not be ready in position to hit it.

Thank you.

Hi Johnny,

If the ball is going on consistently then that is OK, but if you are only making 50% of them you probably need to slow it down a little.  The other thing is that if you are losing a lot of points due to this then change the speed so that you are able to recover for the ball coming back.
