Hi, coach. I had search up the google and found out that many people said that foam cleaning is bad to the bat as it left residue on it... im currently using Nittaku Clean Away to clean my bat is it a good thing to continue using it or i should change to mist type or with distilled water?
Hi Yan,
I don't think it will harm your racket but I find that cleaning it with just a damp sponge is effective enough.
The main thing is to keep the dust off the racket and clean it after you finish.

Hi,
I only use clean water in a small spray bottle and a sponge. Essentially after each practice I spray 2 - 3 times on each side of the rubber and gently clean it with a sponge. Then I wiggle the racket around a bit to let it dry faster before putting it in a racket cover. It dries quite quickly though, so no worries :) Actually, the spray bottle was originally from a cleaning product, but I soon discovered that pure water was a better solution. I have been doing this for many, many years now.
The sponge I use is essentially similar to this one, with a "leather-like" surface: http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/andro-synthetic-leather-cleaning-sponge I am not a big fan of foam sponges though. When it gets dirty, you can just hand wash it or even buy another one.
