I recently bought a tshirt which is bright orange in colour, its polyester so it have a little shine in it, few of my friends told me that the colour strikes the eye. So, is it okay to wear that in a match?

Hi Nischay,

If you are using an orange ball then it wouldn't be allowed but if you are using a white ball then it will be OK.

Here is part of the ITTF rule on clothing.

3.02.02  Playing Clothing
3.02.02.01  Playing clothing shall consist of a short-sleeved or sleeveless shirt and shorts or skirt or one-part sports outfits, socks and playing shoes; other garments, such as part or all of a track suit, shall not be worn during play except with the permission of the referee.
3.02.02.02  The main colour of a shirt, skirt or shorts, other than sleeves and collar of a shirt shall be clearly different from that of the ball in use.

Ohh we use orange ball but tournaments are played with white. So I don't think there will be any problem. Thank you, Sir.
