Strokes
Hello,
Which is more effective against a topspin ball - topspin or backspin?
Thank you
Hi Umar,
This comes down to playing style. There are some excellent defenders who chop balls back and rely on their opponent making a mistake. However these days there are a lot more attacking players who prefer to block or counter topspin the ball back aggressively. This can be hard to do but if you are successful puts a lot of pressure on your opponent.
Do you like to play aggressively or defensively?
When your opponent plays a short ball to your forehand, you can play an attacking stroke by using the flick. This stroke is also known as the flip.
