Hello Pingskills,

I've decided to go with a japanese style twiddle blade so I can switch between inverted rubber for push backs and spins, then pips out for faster attacks, so I can play with the penhold grip but still make a good use of both sides thanks to the twiddle blade.

My two questions are, what type of inverted rubber should I use for the push and spin type? And what long pips out should I use for the fast attacks?

For the long pips out, I've been thinking about Curl P1R, but I found out it is more the spin type, rather than fast and controllable type, and for the inverted rubber I'm really not sure where I should start looking.

The Twiddle Blade:

NITTAKU Alulass R-H Japanese Penhold.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am not sure about the best rubbers.  Curl is a good rubber.  Depending on your development go for Mark V or Rakza 7.  The Rakza is a faster rubber if that is what you are looking for.

I was thinking of using inverted rubber for when I am pushed back, for slow play, so I could apply spin to it. Then pips out for speed attacks close to the table.

After I did some research on Curl P1R, I decided to go with Curl P4 instead because it produce less spin and is faster than the P1R, if you think another long pips out rubber is more suitable, please let me know.

However still clueless on the inverted rubber, I need something with much spin, for a pushed back play.

Thanks.

Rakza will give you good spin.  You could also go for Tenergy.
