Strokes
Hi i wanted to ask about joo se hyuk backhand serve what spin does it generate and can you play it with no spin ,also you said a backspin ball can be flicked ,but i havent seen it in top player matches whats the reason?
Hi Mohammed,
Joo Se Hyuk varies the spin he uses on his backhand serve. He can get sidespin with topspin and backspin.
The top players are flicking backspin all the time using the sidespin backhand flick.
The Non-Playing Arm might seem to be useless, but in reality, it plays an essential part in table tennis technique.

Alois, what action does Joo do with his forehand serve?
I have been watching it over and over but to me they all look like the ball just fell on the bat.
