Liu Guoliang is a Chinese penhold player who plays with a quick attack playing style. He uses his short pips rubber on his forehand to deliver deadly and powerful hits onto the opponent's side of the table (short pips rubbers are not mainly affected by spin). His backhand rubber is not very fast because he had a weak backhand at the time because blocking with the backhand side with his forehand side of the racket was more common with traditional penhold players at the time.
Stiga Clipper as his blade
Stiga Clippa (short pips rubber) on his forehand
Mendo Energy on his forehand (inverted rubber which he used for his developing rpb during his career)
I hope this information will help you in your table tennis pursuits.

I suppose you meant he uses Mendo on his backhand?
